The refuge Fontana Bona is located in the heart of Val Genova at 1137 masl. In 1979 Tullio Masè purchased it on his return from the USA, where he emigrated to work as "moleta" (knife grinder). His wife Rita and his daughter Mary have helped running the business from the very beginning, and now even the grandchildren Nadia Chiara Anna and Mattia work there.
The family Masè always have loved nature and animals and they breed two pygmy goats, a few ducks, bunnies and other cute animals, which the kids visiting the refuge have fun with in the large surrounding garden.
Mary and Rita take care of the kitchen directly and offer a great choice of dishes, wines and delicious homemade cakes from the local tradition.
